The Advocacy Academy is Teachers College's premier event to provide space to take civic action. This year's event, "How to Effectively Advocate Amid the Pandemic" will feature workshops for advocates and non-profit leaders from across Columbia University and New York to boost advocates' skills on how to take action with the communities they care about. The event is online, free, and open to the general public.

Day 1 is about internal advocacy: how to know yourself, sustain yourself, build coalitions around you.

Day 2 is about external advocacy: how to engage with communities and elected officials.

See full agenda below.

We'll also hold a monthly Interest Group, a free space for advocates to workshop their own ideas and build coalitions. It'll be every second Tuesday of the month, at 12pmET, via zoom. Register here.
